I need a vacation!

So many things have been changing, and I think I feel okay saying I am ready for a vacation.

* Bryan hits his 3 month mark next week where he will go on with the company full-time and his pay dates and benefits will change. This is exciting, because I like the health insurance options and I am ready to go back to bi-weekly pay!

* Grace is officially a first-grader! She probably was after her first 6 weeks of kindergarten, but this summer is showing just how much she has blossomed and how amazing she truly is.

* Andrew is almost potty-trained. We are almost there! I just need to give him time to not be afraid to go no. 2 on the potty.

* I finished my BSBA yesterday. It is official, my coursework is done!

It feels like we have been working towards these goals FOREVER. Now that we have met those goals, I want to go lay down somewhere where I don't have to make the bed or wash the bedding, I don't have to prepare all of the meals, and I don't have to clean the house. Even if it's just for 3 days, I am ready for that!

Music makes the world go 'round

Not a day goes by when I don't listen to music. A day without music would be the day I go insane. Today it is Counting Crows, The Eagles, Dire Straits, Boston, Jewel (pre-2000), and Alison Krauss w/ Union Station making my day brighter.

That's it! I have no deep wisdom aching to be released. I have no musings within me, and I do not feel the need to wax poetic about the joys of music. Instead, I have my simple advice. Go listen to something good!

There is a season.....

..... for fruit! We have been munching on pineapple, frozen berries, and watermelon for the past few days. I love it! Hopefully we will make the trip out to Moorehead's Blueberry Farm before the end of the month to get some good blueberries to freeze for the rest of summer.

Speaking of summer, ours has had a good start. My cousin and second cousin graduated from high school, and I will be done with college at the end of next week!!!!!!!! Can you tell I am excited? Grace is doing dance camp this week. Today was her first day and she really enjoyed it. Next week the kids start swim lessons for 4 weeks. After that I am hoping to convince Grace to do a week long theater day camp for kids. She says she is scared to be on stage, but I think she would really enjoy it after she warmed up to everyone on the first day. But that is Grace. What on earth do I do with my little guy? He is still too young for most of the camps out there, but he really badly wants to be involved like his sister. I guess the church play groups every week will have to be his outlet for now. I did see a place that does karate and tae kwon do starting at age three, but I have a feeling he is too young for that. I could be wrong!

Either way, I have this sneaking feeling that I am going to blink and it will all of a sudden be the beginning of August. So I am going to make the most of swimming, exploring, napping, and eating fruit!
